Jaanu Full movie review and Rating-2020
The the decision to remake the Tamil hit movie 96 into Telugu had to take a huge beating. Titled Jaanu, the film has made a splash on the screen today and let's see if it lasts till all the hype or not.
story:
Ram (Sharwanand) heads high-heeled shoes on his high school going Janu (Samantha). He never proposes to her and as time passes, destiny keeps them apart. After fifteen long years, both Janu and Rama reunite through their school reunion. To know what is going on between these two after all these years, you need to see the film on the big screen.
It is no joke to remake such a classic and the credit should go to director Prem Kumar who managed to keep the soul intact. One can say that the film is a faithful remake with a great performance by the lead pair. Sharwanand, who was undergoing, proves that he is a solid actor. He gives his career the best and describes it as Ram. Be it innocence or maturity in emotions, Sharwa takes it to another level with her stunning performance. He stands as the biggest attraction of the film.
It was also the most difficult role for Samantha but boy, he delivers it once again. Tara takes a back seat in it as Sam becomes Janu and performs openly. She brings tears to your eyes with her emotional acting and is great during the climax. With each film, the actor is making rapid strides in it. Chemistry is the biggest asset among the lead pair. No other artist other than Sam and Sharwa would have removed it. The young lovers shown in the film have done a good job. BGM is fantastic and is the heart of the film. Vanella Kishore gets another good role and thrills you even in his limited screen presence. Tagubothu Ramesh got a clean role and was very impressed. Saranya Pradeep was apt as Sharava's friend and brings depth to the film.
minus point:
As the film is a remake, many will have mixed reactions and be compared to the original. So the film can be a bit dull for them. The film is a clear A Center multiplex film with not much entertainment. The place of the film is quite slow and one needs the patience to enjoy's the proceedings. There is no great drama or twist in the love story as the narrative is simple. So one class may find it tedious.
